Once you have this you should be able to get a test page from windows using the Generic Text / Only printer driver if all is well. The baud rate should be at 9600 with No Parity, 8-bit word len, and 1 stop bit. You can also use the connections mentioned using the D-Sub blocks in another post in this forum.
#Serial or null modem for hyperterm serial
You will need a serial printer cable which equates to a Null-Modem cable. If anyone can help i would really appreciate it. Information on the bottom of the printers shows a diagram with the following wiring schema for it's 9pin female connector. Nothing seems to work!Īny help at all would be great, i would like to avoid having to buy new kitchen printers. I've tried using generic txt only drivers in windows 2000 (the entire setup is w2k server and w2k order taking stations) for the TP-522's and have also tried straight through serial (they are DB9 on the back of the units) as well as null modem adapter on the straight through cable to convert them to crossovers. My goal here is to migrate from a Uniwell TX-850 based system which uses two Uniwell TP-522 receipt printers for the two areas of our kitchens. So far i have gotten to work my samsung SRP-350 receipt printer and have not had a chance to test the cash drawer.
The server will serve as a driver routing station. I have a test environment setup in my basement! I have a server and two order taking stations and a cashregister station. So far it looks like everything will work out great. Hi, I'm just about ready to go live at my pizzeria with your POS software.
